SparkCareers

Understand your skills. Find where they fit.

A job search creates dozens of small questions. Is this role worth applying for? Is my resume strong enough? What skills am I actually showing? What is missing? Which version did I send? Did that employer reply?

SparkCareers brings those questions into one workspace so you can search, evaluate, improve and track with better information.

SparkCareers

Know how your resume aligns before you apply.

Upload your resume, compare it with a target role, review your strengths and gaps, and improve the areas that matter most for that application.

Applying

For jobs listed directly through Spark, you can apply through the platform. For external opportunities, Spark directs you to the employer's application destination.

Understand

Add your resume and turn it into a skills profile.

Upload your resume or CV. Spark identifies skills evidenced across the information you provide and builds a persistent skills inventory.

If you maintain several resumes, Spark can use the information across those documents to build a broader view of your capabilities. This skills inventory becomes useful across job matching and career discovery.

Resume quality

See a quality view of the resume itself.

Spark evaluates resume quality across five categories and gives you an overall score.

  • Impact
  • Clarity
  • Keywords
  • Formatting
  • Content

You receive an overall score together with strengths, suggested fixes and specific improvement opportunities.

This is a resume-quality analysis, not a claim that every employer ATS will assign the same score.

Compare

Compare yourself with a real job.

Choose a job on SparkCareers or paste an external job description, then select the resume you want to evaluate.

  • Overall percentage match
  • Strengths
  • Gaps
  • Exact skill matches
  • Related skill matches
  • Skills not currently evidenced

The score is a RisePoint skills-based assessment. It cannot guarantee an interview or know every rule configured inside another employer’s ATS.

Improve

Improve the resume with context.

Resume review shows the gap. Targeted improvement helps you act on it.

Spark can suggest changes based on the role you are targeting and highlight additions or modifications for you to review. The user remains responsible for checking the suggestion and making sure it is true.

Spark should never be positioned as permission to fabricate experience, credentials, achievements or skills.

Current workflow: download the improved version, make any edits outside Spark, then upload the revised resume if you want Spark to use it going forward.

See other opportunities where your skills already fit.

Your skills profile can be used to surface roles with stronger alignment. This is especially useful when your capabilities transfer into jobs you may not have searched for by title.

Spark can recommend adjacent occupations and relevant opportunities based on the skills it identifies. Spark does not currently provide course, certification or training recommendations.

For employer applications managed through Spark Enterprise, you can also see interview information and communicate with the hiring team.

Let opportunities find you too.

When recruiter discoverability is enabled, authenticated recruiters using Spark Enterprise can see the profile information made available through SparkCareers and contact you about relevant opportunities.

You can control discoverability from account settings. Turning discoverability off does not prevent you from using the rest of SparkCareers.

Why not just use a job board, spreadsheet and general AI assistant?

You can. The advantage of SparkCareers is continuity.

Your resumes, extracted skills, job matches, applications and recruiter conversations live in the same environment. You do not need to recreate the context every time you want to compare yourself with another role.

As your resume changes, you can upload the new version and carry the updated evidence into future analysis.
